Catechins are believed to protect against heart disease and cancer and so eating products that contain them could have health benefits. Dark Chocolate have 53.5mg catechins per 100g, Milk Chocolate have 15.9mg per 100g.

Eating Dark Chocolate helps Blood Vessels function more effectively, researchers have claimed. Arteries that are able to dilate more have increased blood flow and this is especially important for the heart.
